CDS started to provide support and guidance to the African Union to strengthen its Compliance Framework (AUCF includes human rights, protection of civilians, women, peace and security, and conduct and discipline) including policies on issues of conduct and discipline, preventing and addressing misconduct (including sexual exploitation and abuse). This marked the start of a strategic partnership with a key partner and has continued since 2017.
